The Underground this week continues its Live from The Underground performance series by welcoming Vermont’s award-winning singer-songwriter Phil Henry.
Henry, whose new album “Chasing Echoes” was selected as the Best Singer-Songwriter Album of 2020 by the Times-Argus and Rutland Herald, will be performing with bassist Mitch Barron. The 6pm live performance on Thursday (1/14) will be livestreamed digitally on Facebook and followed by an interview with The Underground’s livestream host Jamie Gage.
"Singer-songwriter Phil Henry exudes the skill of a craftsman and the authenticity of an artist,” writes Seven Days. “He builds detailed worlds and characters who speak through vivid lyrical imagery that captures the imagination.”
Debuting at #2 on the Folk Alliance International’s Folk Radio Chart for Top Albums in October, “Chasing Echoes” is the latest from Henry, whose catalog spans 8 albums and 20+ years.
Thursday's performance will be a ticketed event with 10% of the proceeds going to a local music nonprofit and 50% to the artist.
