Make Music Vermont - Randolph 2022

On Tuesday, June 21st, towns and cities the world around will be celebrating the 40th annual International Make Music Day. Randolph will join the celebration with our third Make Music Vermont facilitated by the town's Arts & Culture Committee. Throughout the day, the streets of Downtown Randolph will come alive with free music performances at local businesses. Make plans to visit area restaurants and shops, hear great music, and welcome the first day of Summer!

The day will begin with 9am Church bells followed by a ‘Piano Open Mic’ at Ken’s Barbershop from 12-4pm. Get a behind the scenes peek at The Summer youth Musical Cast between 12:45 -1PM at Chandler Center for the Arts. Nextdoor, from 1-3pm, AliT will perform at Kimball Public Library. Kuya’s Sandwich & Kitchen will then take over with ‘The Lucky Bums’ playing in their space from 2-4pm.

3PM will be lively with three performances kicking off: ‘Ida Mae & Lila Specker’ at Motio Recreation sponsored by The Arts Bus (3-5PM); ‘Porch’ with Mark Burds & Andy Mueller performing at The Gear House (3-5PM); and Eternal Return will host ‘Amanda Ukasick’ (3-3:45PM).

Evening performances will start at Black Meadow from 4-6PM with ‘Breanna Elaine’, 5-6PM with ‘Phil Dog’ at 802 Pizza. As the sun begins to set between 6-8PM, you can enjoy ‘The Village Idiots’ on Chef’s Market’s green, ‘Beth Telford Duo’ at One Main and ‘Derek O'Kanos’ at 802 Pizza. ‘Of Conscious Mind’ at The Forge will keep the party going from 7-9PM.

The day will conclude with three performances at The Underground starting at 8PM. ‘Bow Thayer’ takes the stage at 8pm, followed by ‘Western Terrestrials’ at 9PM and ‘I Hear Ghosts’ at 10pm. Bring your dancing shoes and friends, it’s going to be fun.

Building on the success of last year’s Make Music Day last year, The Arts Bus will once again distribute “Band in a Bag” Kits at Kimball Public Library beginning Thursday, June 16th. Bring your assembled instruments with you to the events on June 21st!
