The Live from the Underground (LFTU) performance series continues this Thursday with a performance by Jes and Jakob. The 6pm performance on Thursday, April 15th will be livestreamed digitally on Facebook and followed by an interview with LFTU co-host Jim Yeager.
Jes and Jakob are Joymakers. They have distilled 10 years of national touring into a sound that is both invigorating and haunting.
Skillful flatpicking, clawhammer banjo, virtuosic fiddle and time polished harmonies inspire award winning songwriting with elements of bluegrass, old-time, jazz and pop. Performing as a duet, or backed by a rotating cast of talented believers, Jes and Jakob draw from the deep well of American Roots music, and they aim to stir the spirit.
