The Live from the Underground (LFTU) performance series continues this Thursday with a special performance by 16-year old singer-songwriter Ayden Crispe from Manchester, Vermont. The 7pm performance on Thursday, July 8th will be live-streamed digitally on Bandcamp and followed by an interview with LFTU co-host Jim Yeager.
Ayden, the winner of The River 93.9’s “Raw to Radio” contest which was co-sponsored by The Underground, released her first single, "Step Higher,” at the age of 12 followed by her full-length album, "Vellichor,” in 2018. This past year she released another single, “Moss + Spirits” and its music video won the Gawlik Award for Best Music Film at Burr and Burton Academy in Manchester, Vermont.
Ayden is currently working on another full-length album which will feature songs based on characters from different literary masterpieces. One of them, "Mr. Ramsay,” from Virginia Woolf’s To the Lighthouse, won the Raw-to-Radio contest with The River 93.9 and is in the process of being produced by The Underground.
